Born and raised in Southern California, has played hockey for over 10 years, and is in his 3rd Season as the Bantam Head Coach with the Pasadena Maple Leafs. His passion for hockey began, as a teenager, by watching the Los Angeles Kings play. Not only has he loved watching the game of hockey, but he also learned a great deal from the pros, by attending Los Angeles Kings sponsored Coaches Clinics. He is excited by the outstanding Assistant Coaches who will support this year’s Bantam B team and looks forward to another year full of new accomplishments.

Coaching Philosophy
Give me a child who has never played hockey, but is willing to learn, and I will teach that child how to play hockey. Give me a child who has played very little hockey, but is willing to learn, and I will teach that child how to play hockey better. Give me a child who has played a lot of hockey and has all the skill in the world, but is willing to learn, and I will teach that child how to use his/her skills better and make him/her a better all around player. Give me a child who is a superstar, but is willing to learn, and I will make him/her a leader, team player and mentor to the child who played little, played a lot and has a lot of skill.

I believe in teaching the game, honing player’s skills, getting them to create, become leaders, accept responsibility for their actions, sportsmanship and to become better communicators. I believe in the total team concept where all of the players become one cohesive unit. Whether they win or lose, they do it together, but either way they have fun doing it.

As a Head Coach, I believe in empowering players and assistant coaches to help in the team and skill building. I am committed to the goal of developing players to become better, not only just in the world of hockey, but also in their everyday lives.
