F1 will pressure from the inside out to take away the D to D pass and force the play up the wall.

F2 will take away the wing (X3) while F3 takes away the middle of the ice and the cross ice pass.

If the opponent find the center (X5) D1 can step up to take him away. If this occurs, F3 must drop back to cover for D2 who is covering for D1
