Engineers Grab First Victory 10/04/08 TROY, N.Y. - Powered by goals in the first and the third periods, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's hockey team defeated Boston University, 2-0, in non-conference action at the Houston Field House. The win, which was the first of the season for the Engineers, brings their record to 1-1-0. The Terriers fall to 1-1-0.
Union Downed At Home 10/04/08 SCHENECTADY, NY - The Dutchwomen hockey team experienced a 6-0 setback at the hands of Northeastern on Saturday at Messa Rink. Senior goaltender Lundy Day (Calgary, AB) turned aside 39 shots as Union goals to 0-2-0. Northeastern, coming off a 3-2 victory at RPI on Friday, improves to 2-0-0.
Bobcats Fall to Huskies 10/04/08 HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's ice hockey team lost to St. Cloud State, 5-2, in their second meeting of the weekend at the TD Banknorth Center. The Bobcats fall to 0-4-0 this season, while the Huskies improve to 2-0-0.
