The Predators spent a lot of money in the summer in free agency, but they spent the money on retaining their own players rather than adding new faces. That means that coach Barry Trotz is going into the season with basically the same team that needed a late season spurt to earn a playoff spot. Jordin Tootoo scored on a power play to cap a three-goal rally early in the third period and the Nashville Predators beat the Atlanta Thrashers 6-4 in a preseason game Friday night.
