The highest-priced new guys certainly carried their weight in the first two games of 2008-09, with Markus Naslund scoring in Saturday's opener and $39 million defenseman Wade Redden notching two points Sunday as the Rangers opened the European part of their schedule with back-to-back victories over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Prague.

"We used the time well to get to know each other," Redden said Sunday of a trip that also included two exhibition games in Switzerland.
