Having a strong and solid inside edge is critical for almost every skating maneuver – from turns, to pivots, to stride – the stronger you can become on your edges, the better player you’ll become.

Question :

When you are doing those inside edge turns, is your weight in the middle or more towards the heel/back part of the blade?

You want the weight to be more toward the heel – if it is in the middle, you’ll find the blade slides on the ice (like in a hockey stop).
