Regroup Flow Drill 2

Diagrams

Description

A forward (F) carries a puck and cuts the seam and takes a shot on the net. They then curl towards the boards. Right after the shot a defence (D1) leaves with a puck from behind the opposite side of F and a breakout is executed. At the same time, the forward (F) skates up the ice and the defence (D) from the other side skates toward the redline and pivots in a good gap position. A pylon can be used to encourage appropriate gaps.

Notes: The defence should force the player outside the dots and "step up/gap up" so that the defensive play is made before the top of the circle (i.e. ringette line).
