Neutral Zone 2-on-1 Attack

Diagrams

Description

F1 starts with the puck. On whistle they skate towards D1 and while in motion make a pass. F1 then skates on an arc into the defensive zone while D1 skates backwards towards the middle of the ice and into the defensive zone. D1 creates a good angle to feed F1 with a pass as they skate on an angle towards the boards. At this point, F1 receives the pass and then makes a pass to F2. After making the pass they curl below the blue line, facing F2, who will make a return pass to F1. F2 then skates hard to get ahead of F1 for a return pass. While this is happening, D1 is skating up to close the gap before they execute a pivot to be ready for a 2-on-1. F1 and F2 then execute a zone entry and D1 defends.

Notes: Both sides do this at the same time. Good angles for passes are critical.
