Half Ice Breakout to Attack (5v0 to 3v2)

Diagrams

Description

This is a simple 5v0 or 5vCoach breakout to a regroup and 3v2 attack on the same breaking-out defence. Coach pressure can be varied depending on the level. Defence is encouraged to shoulder check, know options and execute clean passes. Coaches can also be stationed at the boards inside the blue line as opposing defence and when poor passes are made or if the winger moves too high then the coach can put the puck back into the corner. The players should regroup around a barrier (i.e. a net or border) and execute a zone entry for a quick scoring opportunity.

Notes: Different zone entry systems can be employed depending on the team's needs (i.e. puck carrier-wide, delay, chip and attack...)
