Diagrams

Description

1. Suicide relay: Players in 2 groups. 1 player from each group performs full 2 foot stop at each pylon facing in the same direction. On last stop player goes down on one knee at the back of the line as next player continues relay. 1st group finished wins.

2. Pass/receive and Transition: O skates with puck and passes to X as X skates backwards. When X receives pass, O transitions to backwards skating waiting for pass from X who is skating forward with puck.

3. Pass, Chase & Shoot: O passes to X and skates to X's position. X1 must pass to X2's position and do likewise before O reaches his initial position. Last position receiving pass puckhandles and goes in for shot on net.

4. Saucer Pass: Primary goal here is to get the kids to lift the puck. Keep your hands away from your body and to your forehand side. Start with puck slightly ahead of you at the heel of your stick. Keep blade open and knees bent. Quickly bring your hands in toward your body and move them across your body. This will roll the puck, from the heel to the toe along your open stick blade. Raise stick off ice.

5. Backwards c-cuts Figure 8 transitions: X skates forward pivoting to the right transitioning to backwards c-cuts to starting pylon. X transitions to forwards skating around right side of starting pylon in the direction of the left most pylon pivoting to the left along the right side of the pylon to backwards c-cuts all the way back to right side of the right most pylon and then transitioning forwards to the back of the line.

6. Crossovers/Puck retrieval: X skates forward around the faceoff circle performing crossovers and goes around the obstacle to retrieve the puck and puckhandles all the way around gradually picking up speed and goes in for a shot on net.
