Overload Powerplay Progression

Diagrams     

Description

Option 1 - Give & Go
F2 passes to F1
F1 bumps back to F2, then breaks to net for return pass and shot.
F3 positioned on backdoor.

Option 2 - D Shot
F1 passes to F2
F2 bumps back to F1, then breaks to net calling return pass and creating confusion.
F1 fakes to F2, then passes up to D.
D walks across line and shoots.
F3 screens, and F2 in position for rebound

Option 3 - D back to F
F2 passes to F1
F1 bumps back to F2, then breaks to net calling return pass and creating confusion.
F2 fakes to F1, then passes up to D. F2 continues up along wall to support D.
D walks across line and fakes shot, then passes back to F2.
F2 skates open lane and shoots.
F1 screens and F3 backdoor.

Option 4 Low Give & Go
F1 passes to F2
F2 bumps back to F1, then breaks to net calling return pass and creating confusion.
F1 fakes to F2, then passes up to D. F1 continues up along wall to support D.
D walks across line and fakes shot, then passes back to F1.
F1 passes low to F2 and skates through for return pass (give & go).
F2 shoots, or passes backdoor to F3.

Notes: To keep the drill running smoothly F1 and F2 switch positions for each option. These options all run in a continuous drill. Work one-side, then the other.
