2 on 1 with Backcheck

Diagrams

Description

F1 and F2 are on same team (black). D1 and F3 are on same team (red).

F1 passes to D1. F1, F2 and F3 all go to net with F1, F2 trying to score and F3 tying someone up.

D1 brings puck to middle of the ice and waits for a screen and shoots. After the shot/deflection, F1 and F2 break out 2-on-1 and receive a pass from F4.

F3 curls around the net and backchecks and tries to break up the play.

Notes: Can substitute F3 for another defensemen, depending on numbers.

Can evolve drill into a 3 on 2 drill with backchecker and work on D-to-D passing and moving the screen.
