Continuous breakout 2

Diagrams

Description

O1 and O2 start simultaneously. O1 takes a shot, then picks up new puck behind the net. X1 times his skating so he's hitting the pocket to receive a pass in motion from O1. X4 simultaneously loops down and times his skate to receive pass from X1 between blue and red line. Once X4 received puck there will be a coach around the far blue line. If coaches stick is down on the ice, X4 has to do give and go, if not he can keep going in and finish drill. After the shot he picks up new puck and starts the drills over on the opposite side. Move from line to line.

Emphasize timing and watching the player behind you. Receive puck on backhand if necessary, don't overhandle the puck.

Notes: Can add another line if there's enough players and their skill level allows.

This drill is designed for Bantams and up.
