D to D Shot ScreenTip

Diagrams     

Description

- Coach dumps puck in behind net
- goalie plays puck for winger
- Both D men race out to center dot and come back to position in high O-zone
- RW does two tight circles around offside dot and opposite O-zone face off dot and breaks for side of net for tip/ re-direction
- LW races in to retrieve puck behind net and skates with puck around face off dot, passes puck to RD, reverse inside pivot and backs in to screen the goalie tip/ re-direction
-RD passes D to D and stays high
- LD recieves puck from RD and steps in a couple strides and puts a low hard shot on net for tip/ re-direction
- Forwards try to score to whistle, possibly even cycle back to the D again for another shot on net
- whole drill is based on timing and speed
