2-On-0 Seven Pass Regroup Drill

Diagrams     

Description

1.) F1 starts with puck skating through neutral zone.
2.) F2 skates inside neutral zone and stops to prepare for regroup.
3.) F1 passes to LD, while RD provides support for LD.
4.) LD passes to RD and RD makes pass up ice to F2.
5.) F1 times his regroup and receives pass from F2 in neutral zone.
6.) Both forwards attack the zone in 2-on-0 with puck carrier going wide. F2 provides support up the middle.
7.) LD and RD follow play up ice.
8.) F1 centers pass to F2 for shot on net.
9.) F1 then retrieves puck from corner and passes to RD on the point.
10.) F2 provided screen on goalie, while F1 crashes the net.
11.) RD makes D-to-D pass to LD for low shot on net.

Notes: Regroup must be performed with quick passes. If not, in a game situation slow regroups allow the opponent to fill in on the weak side to stop regroup.
