Continuous Circle Angling

Diagrams

Description

Players line up at blue line on the boards, with pucks. Cone/Tire/Player placed at top of the circle.

First player (X) carries puck and shoots, then continues to skate around circle (beginning the cycle).

When X reaches cone, O releases down the boards with the puck.

X skates to O, and using body positioning and stick, angles O off the puck and gains possession, then takes puck towards net for a shot. After shot X heads to the end of the line.

O continues around the circle, and past the cone, where the next skater in line releases with the puck along the board, and O attempts to gain possession.

Drill is continuous after initial shooter. The shooter goes to the end of the line, the player who lost possession (O in this case) continues into the attacking position (X in this case)
