Continuous Odd Man v Breakout

Diagrams

Description

Nets are placed in high slot between circles.

Each Team breaks up into 2 lines. One line starts, the other lines up along the boards as shown.

One team (O here) starts with three attackers, the other (X) has 2 defenders, and a "Breakout" skater lined up in the area behind the net.

At go, teams play 3v2. (Breakouts do not participate yet.)

Upon a loose puck entering the area behind the net, or a turnover and pass back by Xs to Breakout, Os on ice go to boards, and two Os enter as defenders and one O goes behind their net as Breakout. X Breakout retrieves the puck and is activated for an attack with a 3v2 breakout.

Depending on number of players this can be 4v3 or 5v4.
