Behind the Net Triple Passing

Diagrams

Description

Players line up with a line of D in the high middle of the zone, and a line of Fs on each dot.

On Go, D1 shoots on goal and follows to the net for a rebound, then continues to the corner to get a puck and carry the puck back behind the net.

While they are picking up the puck F1 curls towards the boards and gets in position to receive a breakout pass from D1.

After receiving the pass F1 curls into the slot behind the line of Fs and shoots. F1 follows their shot for a rebound and then returns to the end of the line.

D1 continues by picking up another puck from the other corner and carrying it back behind the net to make an outlet pass to F2, who mirrors F1s previous routes and actions.

After D1 makes the second pass they continue to the corner one more time to retrieve a third puck, then carry puck out and pass to the blue line to D2, who starts the drill over again.

One alternative to pucks in the corners is to have a coach dump a puck into the corner each time so D can work on digging puck off the boards.
