Cross Ice Stops

Diagrams     

Description

F1 sprints up the ice with hard hockey stop at Cone #1.
F1 crosses over with outside skate starting the sprint with proper technique
F1 sprints across blue line with hard stop at Cone #2
F1 crosses over with outside skate starting the sprint with proper technique
F1 loops to center with stick ready to receive pass from F2.
F2 starts the drill from that side while F1 drives to the net and shoots.
Drill is continuous and skaters change side after shot

Notes: Drill works on stops and starts coaching proper footwork.
Drill can be used as conditioning drill.
