SPOT RING FORECHECK: (simulates a "missed shot" to a breakout/forecheck situation)
D spots the ring just inside the ringette line for the FORWARD
F spots the ring to the end boards for the DEFENSE
Then both players move towards their new rings.
Fwd SHOOTs on net (quick-- in stride); immediately moving into a Forecheck of the D.
D needs to breakout vs the forecheck--
D trying to breakout through the dots.
Fwd trying to contain to the wall.
Next rep starts AFTER the 1v1 from corner is fully complete.
1 v 1 SHADOW/DRIVE/PUSH to SUPPORTED ATTACK:
*SHADOWING starts when the RING SPOT starts.
As soon as SHOT is taken--- F1 and D1 break to the net from the corner.
F1 w/ ring is shadowed with controlled contact by D.
F2 signals "go", and F1 drives D back toward net (protect the ring).
F2 fills the space behind and supports on HALF WALL area HOLDS THE WALL UNTIL THE RING ARRIVES. (Can't jump it early).
F1 pushes ring back to F2 who ATTACKS from wall.
D must RE-ESTABLISH Gap with new attacker.
Notes: Same drills can happen at both ends;
Goalies may NOT get shots in main net.
* Coaches be prepared to put a shot on net in NEUTRAL ZONE
