D Man Neutral Zone Movement and Agility

Description

2 D man starts at centre is with puck as shown. on the whistle they pull the puck around the bottom of the centre circle, pivot and make a forehand pass the forward on the red line against the boards. D man then pivots backwards getting into a good position to accept a pass from the forward, forward starts skating towards the D man and passes him the puck, D man pivots forward and skates with the puck, Forward slashes across the middle getting a return pass back from the D man, Forward goes in for a shot on net shooting from the hash marks.

Notes: Run the drill out of both sides at the same time ( keep your head up through the middle. Players have to skate around coach in the middle of the ice and stay wide.

Change sides after a couple of D man reps each.

Forward skates wide and the D man skates up the ice on the attack and passes the puck later in the drill. D man drives the net.
