D has options if they go out the side with the winger they can hit the center curling or the winger on the wall or they can skate it up and fire long pass to high F. If the go out the side where the winger is high then they have to stay in the play in case of a turnover. The their options are stepping out and hitting the center, skating, or firing a pass down the middle if the high F is visible or even off the boards wide and the high forward needs to react accordingly. High forward either stops and gets control and is gone or deflects puck to take away icing and chases hard. Other F need to get up there for support.
