Description

In the NZ we want to have the Center lock on the def side of the opposing center. As illustrated this wont change in the transition.

When the Opposing Strong side D has puck the Strong side Def Winger will pursue inside out trying to prevent a D to D pass and force up the wall as illustrated in option 1.

The strong side D will then pinch on the winger and the strong side D winder will engage on d side with support.
weak side D will cover middle and Weak side winger will lock down weak side lane to the net.

In option 2 and there is a D to D pass the original Strong side D winger will tight turn facing the puck a proceed to lock down weak side.

The weak side D winger now will come down in an inside out position trying to force puck up the wall, where now the weak side d has shifted and able to pinch off on Off winger.
