Team Drill #2 (8 mins)

2 groups of forwards (F) line-up on each side at red line. Group of defensemen (D) line-up at centre ice circle. 1 group of defensemen (LD & RD) get into position. Coaches (C) on both sides. Coach on one side places puck near boards. On whistle, forward nearest to the puck, starts full speed towards puck. RD will force the play, forward will do a board pass for himself, regain control of the puck. Forward from other side will support the play and create a 2-0 or 2-1 shooting on net when appropriate. LD facing forward, pivots and backchecks hard towards middle of ice, pivots again, skates backwards towards goalie. Switch sides each time. Coach on other side now places puck and repeat drill with forward from that side skating towards puck.
