Third Player High

Drill Diagram

Description

The coach uses a thick marker to draw a line from the middle of the end boards to the
blue line as shown in the illustration. The game is played 3 vs. 3, but the last attacking
player cannot cross the half-way line. This leaves the attacking team with a 2 vs. 3
situation. The players on offense can use the third forward as an outlet if they want, but
that player cannot enter the zone. The defensive team can cover the high point player
but they can’t cross the line.
