Net Front & Recover

Drill Diagram

Description

Time:
15 mins (14 mins work / 1 mins rest & demo)
Goalies: in both nets stopping shots and minimizing rebounds while communicating to players on their team.

Description:
Stage 1
- F1 skates in against D1, pulling D1 low into the zone and using the boards to pass up to RD1. F1 then drives the net as D1 defends against the net drive.
- RD1 passes the puck over to LD1, who then shoots on net as F1 attempts to screen.

Stage 2
*If there is a goal scored or the goalie makes a save w/o a rebound, that puck is dead and F2 will use their puck to start the next stage by throwing it in the opposite corner and then enter the zone and support the puck.
*If there is a rebound, F1 & D1 will battle to retrieve the puck. F2 & D2 will then enter the zone and F2 will drive the net or support the puck. (LD & RD can pinch until the ringette line to retrieve)
**If F1 wins, F1 will get the puck back to either RD or LD and drive wide of the net on weak side.
**If D1 clears the puck (RD & LD can try to hold the line), F1, F2, LD & RD need to clear the zone and attack again with a new entry and net drive.

Stage 3
- After the shot is taken for stage 2, same rules apply on puck stoppage or retrieval, however we will be adding in F3 & D3.
