Drill Diagram

Description

1-on-1 option:
Green forward starts drill by passing to red D and immediately going to the net for tip/screen/rebound. Red D "draws" the puck backwards to time shot for when forward is in front of net, then shoots towards the goal. Forward attempts to score on tip/rebound, then starts into corner to receive pass down low from next forward in line. Red D pivots backwards to time defense of 1-on-1 top opposite end, matching forward speed and controlling gap.

2-on-1 option:
Blue forward starts drill by passing to orange D and immediately skating to net for tip/screen/rebound. Orange D drags puck and times shot to net for when forward is in position. Forward battles for tips and rebounds, then skates down low to receive pass from purple forward, who cuts to the middle and then jumps into the 2-on-1. D pivots backwards and plays the 2-on-1 to opposite end.

Notes: Can be run as a progression, starting as 1-on-1 then switching to 2-on-1. Drill starts both ends simultaneously on coaches whistle.

At half-way point, can switch sides to attack out of opposite corner.
