Stride/stop/step - progression 1 and 2

Progression drill
Begin with no pucks, players accelerate from a stop emphasizing 3 step running start. Pivotbackwardaround pilon, backwards then escape away from pilon, up ice, tight turn, pass and recieve, cut up around net, again forward to backwards, with a rightescape away from pilon again. add pucks, make a give and go pass to the coach in far end then neutral zone release wide and net drive with a shot. Emphasize passing in front of player, and recieving pass with the correct hand.
Notes: For fun and benchmarking, drill can be timed, however not a very efficient
Crossovers all about body positioning. Low stance, bum down, eyes up.Chin over bellybutton.
