3 Battle Shots 1on1

Drill Diagram

Description

Coach Pass: 1on1

*This drill can be done with a coach or another player passing from the corner.
*First level Progression: 2on2 attack
**Second level Progression: 2on2, after one of the attacking X players receives pass from corner, they have to complete at least 1 pass between the 2 attacking players before shooting on net. More passes can be made if required.

-Player X skates to the puck pile and completes a pass to the coach/player in the corner then tries to drive the net and receive a tip shot or one timer.
-Player D skates into the zone and tries to defend against X getting to the net and receiving the pass.
-If O is defending the front of the net too well or standing still there, X can back off into the slot looking for a one timer pass.
-After the shoot is attempted or made, X skates off to the far side and retrieves a puck from the pile then completes a pass back to the corner passer.
-O skates up with X to close the gap. After X makes the pass, O goes back to defending the net/shot.
-Repeat until 3 shots have been made or attempted.

No Pass: 1on1

*Same as drill above but without a corner passer. Players pick up the puck from half board piles and drive the net 1on1.
*First level Progression: 2on2 attack with the 2 attacking players needing to complete at least 1 pass between them before shooting. As many passes as needed can be completed.
