Description

Drill designed to work on hands and not double clutching on scoring chances.

Set up as shown , players in from of the nets have their backs to the nets and are standing in hockey ready position ( meaning legs shoulder width apart& stick on the ice) and ready to turn instantly when whistle is blown.

Coach blows whistle and players to right of the net step in and take a puck from the pile and back up to where they started from, players in front of net turn to the right opening up for a one touch shot or redirection, forehand or backhand.

As soon as shot is taken players on left side of nets step in and pick up a puck from the pile and also skate back to their original spot, the shooter now turns 180 degrees to receive the pass from the second passer.

This continues until 5 shots have been taken from each side , then the 6 players rotate and drill starts over
