This drill works on several things at the same time.
1) D picking up the puck behind the net and breakout pass
2) F looping deep and getting in position to receive breakout pass
3) 1 on 1 skills

Set up as shown, on coaches whistle forwards dump puck in behind the net and all players take off. 2 D men go from center line the first D man has the choice weather to go left or right and second D must react and go to the opposite puck.

Forward come down and loops inside the tire and breaks for the boards for a breakout pass, after receiving breakout pass the forward must skate around the circle ( do not cut it short, do not enter the circle) while the D man make a straight rush to the forward trying to prevent a shot.

The F can not make a shot until he reaches the inside has marks.

After shots F return to lines switching sides and D go back to the D line
