Defensive end coverage and positioning. Also switching to offensive zone positioning and coverage.
Session 1: Coaches play offense positions and players get coached following face offs and supported into positions and who to cover. Focus on not bunching up and playing position, relying on your team mates to play their positions also. Cycle different groups of kids into defensive side and their goal is to clear the puck. PLAYERS NOT IN THE GROUP FORM A WALL OUTSIDE THE BLUE LINE AND ARE STILL ENGAGED BY OTHER COACHES IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN FOCUS IN PROCESS.
SESSION 2:
Begin to replace coaches with other players. OFFENSIVE PLAYERS GOAL IS TO SCORE.

Notes: Coaches that are with he neutral zone skaters please keep them engaged in watching the play, explain what we see and show them where we can make corrections. Positive communications are the ones received by our kids!!
