Forward lines line up on blue line facing the defensive zone
Defence line up at Red line facing attacking zone
Extra Forwards line up behind net, Defence on the wall in the neutral zone

Coach blows the whistle and the forward line enters the defensive zone and the coach passes a puck to one of the forwards. The forwards accept the pass and turn to break out, making at least 1 pass on transition. Forwards then attack the offensive zone 3 on 2 and continue attack until whistle blows.

Defence follow forwards into zone and once the pass is made, the defence transition to backwards skating and gap control back into the zone trying to break up the play. Defence continue to try to clear the puck until the coach blows the whistle again.

Notes: Once the play enters the offensive zone on the 3 on 2, next line of forwards and D get set to do the drill again.
