Goalie must first make the save with the left pad than immediately track the puck with his eyes. when the pass gets sent out to F2 the goalies "EYES MUST BEAT THE PASS" in order to read the play... he might be able to get up and out with proper re-loading or he may have to butterfly slide to the middle of the net for the save if there is no time. When re-loading it is important to get full rotation on the ice and have the towe of the push leg pointed to F2
Mites/Novice
               
Goalie needs to be flat on the goal line to start. As the forward skates behind the net the goalie must push off of the post but continue to look through the net on the strong side before turning his head.

Goalie needs to let F1 get ahead of him a little bit so he is able to predict if he decides to stop and go back the other way. Goalie should be in control of his movements and the play. keep eyes on the puck and shooter as much as possible.
