Your coach can share your (or your child's) testing results with a private link. You can look at the results without an account. To keep them in one place and get updates, claim the profile with a free HockeyShare account.
Step 1 — Open the Share Link
Open the link your coach sent. The page shows:
- the latest result for every test, with charts and recent history
- progress since the first test and the last test
- how the athlete compares with their group's average
- any notes or summary the coach chose to share
Click View Leaderboard Rankings to see where the athlete ranks. Other athletes are shown by first name and last initial only.
Step 2 — Claim the Profile
Click Claim this athlete at the top of the page.
- If you're not logged in, you're taken to the login page first. After you log in, the claim finishes on its own.
- If you're logged in, the profile is linked straight away.
You'll land on the athlete's My Athlete page. If you don't see Claim this athlete, your coach hasn't turned on claiming for this athlete. You can still click Save to my account to keep a bookmark to the link.
Step 3 — Find Your Athletes
Go to My Account → Dashboard. Under My Memberships:
- My Athletes lists profiles you've claimed, with a count of any Check-Ins due.
- Saved Athletes lists profiles you've saved.
Click an athlete to open their page. Click Remove to unlink the athlete. You can claim the profile again later from its share link.
Step 4 — Result Updates by Email
On the My Athlete page, tick Email me when new results are posted. It's on when you first claim.
You'll get at most one email a day. A result is included once it's been recorded for at least an hour, which gives the coach time to fix typos from testing day.
Step 5 — Fill Out Check-Ins
If your coach uses Check-Ins, a Check-Ins card appears on the My Athlete page. Click View Check-Ins. There are three tabs:
- Pending – Check-Ins that are due now (for example, a daily wellness check).
- Available – Check-Ins you can fill out any time.
- History – what you've already submitted.
Open a Check-In, answer the questions and click Submit. You can come back and Update your answers until the period ends.
Good to Know
- A claimed profile stays linked even if the share link later expires or is revoked. A saved profile disappears when its link is revoked.
- Check-Ins are only available on claimed profiles, not saved ones.
- If the page says "This shared page is no longer available", the coach's account no longer includes sharing. Contact your coach.
- "This share link is invalid or has been revoked" means the link has expired or been turned off. Ask your coach for a new one.
- Each account can claim up to 100 athletes, and each athlete can be claimed by up to 10 accounts. That's enough for both parents and the player.
Tips
- Both parents can claim the same athlete, each with their own account.
- Bookmark the My Athlete page on your phone for quick access on testing days.
- Fill out daily Check-Ins at the same time each day so the trends your coach sees are consistent.
