Everything in Perform belongs to an organization: athletes, metrics, results, classifications and leaderboards. Most coaches need one organization per program. Some create separate ones for different teams or clients.
Adding other coaches as members is a Premium feature. On the Free plan you can own one organization.
Step 1 — Create or switch organizations
Your first organization is created when you open Perform for the first time. To add another, go to My Organizations and click Create Organization. Enter an Organization Name and an optional Description. You become the owner.
To change organizations, use the Current Organization box at the top of any Perform page and pick Switch Organization. Every Perform page then shows that organization's data.
Step 2 — Understand roles
Each member has one permission level:
- Owner – full control, and the only role that can delete the organization.
- Admin – can manage members, invites, classifications and organization settings.
- Editor – can add and edit athletes, metrics and results, and create or revoke share links.
- Viewer – read-only access to athletes, results and reports.
Step 3 — Invite coaches
Go to My Organizations and click Settings on the organization. Settings are for owners and admins.
- Open the Members tab.
- Under Invite New Member, choose a Permission Level.
- Click Generate Invite Link, then Copy Link and send it to the coach.
When the coach opens the link, they click Accept Invitation. If they aren't logged in, they log in or sign up first. The link stays listed under Active Invites until you click Revoke, and it can be used by more than one coach, so share it carefully.
Under Current Members you can change someone's permission or click Remove. The owner can't be changed or removed.
Step 4 — Set up classifications
Classifications are groups such as Varsity and JV, U14 and U16, or Forward, Defense and Goalie. You use them to filter leaderboards and reports and to target Check-Ins.
On the Classifications tab, click Add Classification. Give it a name, pick text and background colors, and leave Include in Comparison Data on if it should appear in athlete radar charts and comparison tables. Use the people icon (Manage athletes) to add or remove athletes from a group.
Step 5 — General settings
The General Settings tab has:
- Athlete Account Claiming – whether parents and athletes can claim profiles by default. Each athlete's own setting can still override it.
- Organization Logo – click Choose Logo or Upload New. The logo appears in the Perform header, on public share pages, on printed reports and in emails.
- Cache Management – Clear Organization Cache refreshes stale numbers. It doesn't delete any data.
Deleting an Organization
Only the owner can delete an organization. It's under General Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Organization, and you type the organization name to confirm.
This can't be undone. It permanently deletes every athlete and all of their test results and notes, along with metrics, classifications, saved leaderboards, AI summaries, Check-Ins and all member access and invites. Export any reports you need first.
Good to Know
- Organization names can't be changed after they're created.
- Members can't remove themselves. Ask an owner or admin to remove you.
- Ownership can't be transferred to another member.
Tips
- Give most assistant coaches Editor. Keep Admin for the people who manage the staff list.
- Use Viewer for directors or parents' committee members who should see results but never change them.
- Revoke an invite link once everyone has joined so it can't be passed on.
- Set up classifications before your first testing day so filters and reports work right away.
