# Recovering Deleted Playbooks

Deleted a playbook by mistake? Deleted playbooks go to the Trash first, so you can bring them back.

## Step 1 — Open the Trash

Go to **Playbooks → My Playbooks** and click **Trash** at the top of the page.

## Step 2 — Restore the playbook

Find the playbook and click **Restore**. It goes back to **My Playbooks** with its content, teams and share settings as they were.

## Deleting a playbook for good

Click **Delete Forever** to remove a playbook right away. This can't be undone.

## Good to Know

- Playbooks stay in the Trash for 30 days, then they're deleted permanently.
- While a playbook is in the Trash, its share link stops working and it doesn't appear on your team pages or Team Share.
- A restored playbook counts toward your playbook limit again. On a Free account, delete your other playbook first, or upgrade to Premium.

## Tips

- Check the Trash before rebuilding a playbook you think you lost.
- Use **Delete Forever** when you want a playbook gone immediately, for example one you shared by mistake.
