# Adding Video to a Playbook

Video shows players what a system looks like at full speed. A playbook can hold video in several ways: clips from your Clips library, uploaded files, YouTube or Streamable links, and video built into your drill diagrams.

## Video Clip blocks

A **Video Clip** block adds a clip or playlist from your HockeyShare Clips library. Add the block and click **Choose Clip or Playlist**. Pick a clip under **My Clips** or a playlist under **Playlists**, or search your videos by name. Players watch it right in the playbook.

## Uploaded video, YouTube and Streamable

- **Video** – upload a video file. Choose whether it shows controls, autoplays or loops.
- **YouTube** and **Streamable** – paste the video's link. It plays inside the playbook.

Free and Premium accounts have different upload size limits. If an upload is too large, use a **Video Clip** or a YouTube link instead.

## Video in your drill diagrams

If you've added videos to a drill diagram, a play button appears on the diagram where the video sits. When that drill is in your playbook through a **Hockey Drill** block, the play buttons work there too, including in Presentation mode.

## Good to Know

- **Video Clip** blocks play only while the playbook owner has a Premium account.
- A clip shows **No longer available** if it was deleted, is still processing, or was removed from the owner's Clips library.
- Videos show as a still image in the PDF.

## Tips

- Keep clips short: one clip per system, showing the key read.
- Put a **Callout** under each clip telling players what to watch for.
- Use a playlist when you want to show the same system from several games.
