# Copying a Shared Plan into Your Account

Want your own version of a plan you didn't build? Copy it into your account and change it however you like. The original stays the same.

## Copy a Plan from My Plans

In **My Plans**, open the plan's menu (the sliders icon) and click **Make a Copy**.

You can copy:

- Your own plans
- Plans another coach shared with you as a collaborator
- Plans shared with your association (from **Plans → Association Plans**)

The copy opens in **Edit** so you can rename it and make changes. It's titled "Copy of…" until you rename it.

## Copy Several Plans at Once

Select the plans in **My Plans** and choose **Organize → Make Copies**. You can copy up to 20 plans at a time.

## Add a Plan Another Coach Sent You

When another coach uses **Send to User**, the plan lands in your **Plan Inbox** (**Plans → Plan Inbox**). Click **Add to My Plans** to save your own copy. See [Sharing Plans with Players, Parents & Coaches](/support/kb/practice-planner/sharing-practice-plans).

## What Gets Copied

- Drills, times, notes, lines, tags and folders are copied.
- Collaborators are not copied. The copy is yours alone.
- Drills stay linked to the original drill diagrams.

## Tips

- Copy last season's plan as a starting point for this season, then update the date and drills.
- Got a share link but no copy option? Ask the coach to use **Send to User** or add you as a collaborator.
