# Plan Settings & Defaults

Plan Defaults fill in your usual details on every new plan: group, level, length, template, logo, lines and more. Set them once and you'll skip most of the Plan Details step.

## Open Plan Defaults

Go to **Plans → Plan Defaults**. You can also click the gear icon on **My Plans**, or the **Plan Defaults** link next to Template when you create a plan.

## Plan Details

Fill in what's the same for most of your practices:

- **Title**, **Time** and **Length**
- **Default drill length** – the minutes each drill starts with when you add it in the Plan Builder. Leave it blank for 10.
- **Prepared By**, **Focus**, **Group** and **Level**
- **Template** – the print template new plans use.

## Organization

Pick the **Folders** and **Tags** every new plan should start with. For example, your team's folder for this season.

## Branding

- **Association** – the association your plans belong to, if you have one.
- **Logo** – your account default logo, no logo, or one of your custom logos.

## Sharing

- **Make available on team sharing page** – new plans show up for your team.
- **Enable public share links by default** – new plans start with share links turned on.
- **Expire public share links by default** – links stop working the day after the practice.
- **Share with Associations** – share new plans with your association, and choose whether members can edit them.

You can change any of these on a single plan's **Sharing** tab.

## Drill Options & Text Size

- **Show drill descriptions on printed plans** – new plans include drill descriptions when printed.
- **Plan text size** – XS to XL. This one applies to all of your plans, not just new ones.

## Lines & Jersey Colors

Enter your usual forward lines, D pairs, goalies and injured players. Every new plan starts with them filled in on the **Lines & Games** tab.

## Save or Clear

Click **Save defaults** at the bottom of the page. To start over, click **Clear all defaults**.

## Good to Know

- Defaults only fill in **new** plans. Plans you've already created don't change. The one exception is **Plan text size**.
- You can still change anything on a single plan. Defaults are just a starting point.

## Tips

- Update your defaults at the start of each season with your new group, folder and lines.
- Turn on **Expire public share links by default** if you share plans with parents and don't want old links hanging around.
- Set **Default drill length** to match how you usually run drills, such as 8 minutes, so you change fewer times in the builder.
