# Sharing Plans with Players, Parents & Coaches

There are a few ways to share a plan. Pick the one that fits who you're sending it to.

- **Players and parents** – send a share link or email the plan. They don't need a HockeyShare account.
- **Another coach on HockeyShare** – use **Send to User**. They get their own copy to edit.
- **Your team or association** – turn on team sharing or association sharing.

## Turn On Share Links

Share links let anyone view your plan without logging in. Open your plan, click **Edit**, then go to the **Sharing** tab.

- **Enable public share links** – turns the links on. Turn it off and the links stop working right away (anyone who opens one sees Not Found). Turn it back on any time. The link stays the same.
- **Expire the links automatically** – pick the last day the links work. It defaults to the day after your practice.

Scroll down to **Share Links** and click **Copy** next to the link you want:

- **Desktop Share Link** – for computers and tablets.
- **Mobile Share Link** – sized for phones. Best for players and parents.

Click **Save Sharing Settings** when you're done.

You can turn share links on (or set them to expire) for every new plan in **Plans → Plan Defaults**.

## Copy a Link from the Plan Page

On the plan page, click **Share**. Choose **PDF Share Link** or **Mobile Share Link** to copy it. Paste it into a text, team app or group chat.

## Email a Plan

Click **Email** on the plan page.

1. Edit the **Subject** if you want, and add an optional **Message**.
2. Add **Recipients**. Type email addresses, pick one of **My Lists**, or choose **Team Members**. Click **Save as List** to reuse a group of addresses later.
3. Click **Preview Email** to check it, then **Send Email**.

The email includes your plan's share links, so share links need to be turned on first.

## Send a Plan to Another Coach

Use **Send to User** to give another HockeyShare coach their own copy of the plan.

1. Click **Send to User** on the plan page.
2. Enter their HockeyShare **username** and click **Verify**.
3. Click **Send**.

The plan shows up in their **Plan Inbox**. Once they add it, they have their own copy and can change it without affecting yours. The drills stay linked to your originals.

If your plan has video clips they don't have access to, those clips show as unavailable in their copy.

## Plan Inbox

Go to **Plans → Plan Inbox** to see plans other coaches have sent you.

- **Add to My Plans** – adds a copy to your account.
- **Decline** – removes it from your inbox.
- **Sent** tab – plans you've sent. Click **Un-send** to take one back before it's been added.

## Share with Your Team or Association

Both options are on the **Sharing** tab.

- **Make available on team sharing page** – the plan shows up in your team's shared plans, where team members can view it.
- **Share with Associations** – members of the associations you pick can view and copy the plan. Check **Allow association members to edit this plan** to let them make changes. Only you can delete it.

## Tips

- Send players and parents the **mobile link**. It's easier to read on a phone.
- Set links to expire if a plan is only for one practice.
- Turning share links off doesn't delete anything. Turn them back on any time and the same link works again.
- Want to change a plan another coach sent you? Add it to My Plans first. You'll be editing your own copy.
