Getting Started with Team Sharing

Team Sharing gives your players, parents and staff one view-only page with everything you've shared with them: practice plans, drills, playbooks, vault items, video clips and your schedule. You have one Team Sharing page per account, and you choose what goes on it.

Step 1 — Turn on Team Sharing

Go to your avatar menu → Team Sharing (or My Account → Team Sharing).

  • Team Name – shown at the top of the page, for example "U14 AA Lightning".
  • Access – choose Password (anyone with the link and password can view) or Member access (Premium; each player signs in with their own account).
  • Team Sharing Password – for Password access only. Viewers enter it to open the page. Don't use your account password.

Click Enable Team Sharing.

Step 2 — Copy your link

The Team Sharing Link card has everything you need:

  • View Page – opens your team page in a new tab.
  • Customize Page – change the layout and logo.
  • Activity – see what your team is opening (Premium).
  • Copy URL – copies the link to send to your team. If you've set a custom URL, use the copy button next to it.

Send the link and the password to your team by email, group chat or text.

Step 3 — Pick a custom URL (optional)

Under Custom URL, claim a short link like hockeyshare.com/ts/u14-lightning.

  • 2–50 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and dashes.
  • You'll see right away if the name is taken.
  • Your original link keeps working.

To rename the page later, change Team Name and click Update Name.

Step 4 — Share some content

Your page starts empty. Turn on Team Share for the drills, plans, playbooks, vault items and clips you want your team to see. See Choosing What Appears on Your Team Page.

What your team sees

Viewers open the link, enter the password, and see your shared content grouped into sections. Everything is view-only. Viewers don't need a HockeyShare account in password mode.

Tips

  • Want each player to sign in with their own account instead of sharing a password? See Password vs Member Access & Activity.
  • Pin the link in your team group chat so families can always find it.
  • Change the password at the end of each season under Team Sharing Password → Update Password.
