# Inviting Players & Parents

With Member access, each player or parent gets their own login to your team page. You can invite them by email or with one link you post in your team chat. Member access is a Premium feature.

## Before you start

Go to **Team Sharing → Access** and choose **Member access**. The **Invite Your Team** card appears.

Each person needs a free HockeyShare account. If they don't have one, they can create one when they accept.

## Option 1 — Invite by email

1. Type or paste email addresses into **Invite by email**. Separate them with commas or new lines, up to 20 at a time.
2. Click **Send Invites**.

You'll see a result for each address, such as invite sent, already invited or already a member. Each person gets an email with an **Accept Invitation** button. People who already have an account also get a notification in HockeyShare.

Email invites expire after 7 days. Find them under **Pending invites**. Expired ones are marked **Expired**. Click **Resend** to send a fresh link with a new 7-day window, or **Cancel** to remove it.

## Option 2 — Share the invite link

Click **Copy** next to **Invite link** and post it in your team chat or email. Anyone who opens it and signs in joins your page.

- The link doesn't expire.
- If it gets shared too widely, click **Regenerate**. The old link stops working. Pending email invites aren't affected.

## Managing members

Your **Members** list shows each person's name, email and the date they joined.

Click **Remove** to take someone off the page. They lose access right away and aren't notified. To let them back in, send a new invite.

## Good to Know

- An invite can be accepted by whichever account is signed in. It doesn't have to match the email you sent it to.
- Parents and players are treated the same. Each family member who wants their own access needs their own invite.
- Members can leave on their own with **Leave Team Page**. They disappear from your Members list.

## Tips

- Post the invite link in your team chat at the start of the season, then regenerate it after tryouts or roster changes.
- Ask families to accept on the account they'll actually use, especially if a parent and player share an email.
