# Sharing a Folder with Collaborators

Invite other coaches to a Vault folder so your staff works from the same set of files. Folder collaboration is a Premium feature, and both coaches need a Premium, Pro or Association account.

## Step 1 — Invite a coach

Open the folder's **⋮** menu and choose **Collaborators**. Type the coach's HockeyShare username, choose **Can view** or **Can edit**, and click **Invite**. Click **Done** when you're finished.

## Step 2 — The coach accepts

The coach sees the invite under **Folder invitations** in their **Inbox** and clicks **Accept**. The folder then shows in their Vault with a **Shared with me** badge.

## What each permission allows

- **Can view** – open and download everything in the folder.
- **Can edit** – also add their own links, notes, files and images to the folder, and remove items from it.

## What stays with the owner

Only the folder's owner can rename it, change its color, move or delete it, turn on a share link or Team Share, and manage collaborators.

## Leaving a shared folder

A collaborator can choose **Leave folder** from the folder's **⋮** menu.

## Good to Know

- Items a collaborator adds still belong to them and count toward their storage.
- Removing an item from the folder doesn't delete it. It stays in its owner's Vault.

## Tips

- Give assistants **Can edit** on a "Staff" folder so they can drop in their own notes and video breakdowns.
- Use **Can view** for coaches who only need to read your material, like a goalie coach or skills trainer.
