# Sending Items to Another Coach & Your Vault Inbox

Send to coach gives another HockeyShare coach their own private copy of a Vault item. It isn't a public link, and they can't change your original.

## Step 1 — Send the item

Open the item's **⋮** menu and choose **Send to coach**. Type the coach's HockeyShare username, click **Verify**, then click **Send**.

To send several items, select them and choose **Share → Send to Coach**.

## Step 2 — The other coach adds it

The coach finds the item in **More → Inbox**. They click **Add to my Vault** to save a private copy, or **Decline**.

## Checking what you sent

Open the **Sent** tab of the Inbox. Each item shows **Pending**, **Accepted** or **Declined**. Click **Un-send** to take back an item that hasn't been accepted.

## Good to Know

- You can send links, notes, files and images. Drills, plans and other linked items are sent from their own section.
- The copy is private and doesn't come with your tags or folders.
- Copied files count toward the other coach's storage.
- If you delete the original before it's accepted, it disappears from their Inbox.
- You can select many items in the Inbox and click **Add to my Vault** or **Decline** once.

## Tips

- Use **Send to coach** for notes or files you want an assistant to keep. Use a [share link](/support/kb/vault/sharing-vault-items) for people without an account.
