Description

Streaker - high delay

This is a great drill for working on the off-side winger on the breakout and the high delay.

Both sides go on the whistle.

Players line up on opposite blue lines

Pucks are with the players and in opposite corners.

On the whistle, the first player in each line goes and takes a shot. After they shoot, they go and get a puck in the corner.

While this is happening, the 2nd player in line, who is the weak side winger, circles in the zone, and then streaks across the ice for the stretch pass. Try to time it so that you are accelerating as you receive the pass.

After receiving the pass, the 2nd player in line, goes into the zone and does a high delay. while the first person in line hustles down the ice to get to high slot for a shot on net.
