Description

On whistle, x1 & x2 cross through center face off circle, with x1 carrying puck.
o3 & o4 skate forward and try to close gaps on x's, somewhere in the dead areas.
The drill plays out 2v2 in zone.
If o's create a turnover, they must make a direct pass to either of the next o's in line. Once this happens, o1 & o2 start same sequence of skating through center ice circle.
x1 & x2 become defense, and they have to work hard to get back up in the play, closing gaps and angling o's into dead areas.
Drill continues.

Notes: As offensive players skate through center ice circle, they can pass the puck, do a drop pass, anything to make it more challenging for defenders.
Defenders must communicate with each other so they know who has who.
