Regroup Flow Drill 1

Diagrams

Description

A forward (F) carries a puck and cuts the seam and takes a shot on the net. They then curl towards the boards. Right after the shot a defence (D1) leaves with a puck from behind the net and a breakout is executed. At the same time, the forward (F) skates up the ice and the defence (D1) skates toward the redline. The forward (F) makes a pass to a defence (D2) who is just inside the other zone and is executing a skate and pivot pattern to simulate a regroup. The defence (D2) received the pass and the forward (F) curls in the neutral zone to receive a pass from the defence (D2). The defence (D2) makes a pass to the forward (F) and then proceeds to carry the puck in the direction that they came. The defence (D2) closes the gap by pivoting near the centre ice and the forward (F) and defence (D2) execute a one-on-one.
