Stop the Dump In

Description

This drill has two options for the coach, but setup the same. Coach should switch up witch progression he uses to keep the goalie alert.

Option 1:
Coach fires the puck in around the boards
Goalie comes out to stop the puck (make sure they goalie is stoping the puck properly by putting body against hte boards and using stick to stop the puck.
Goalie then passes puck to 2nd goalie (who is acting as a D
2nd goalie then passes puck back to coach off the boards (simulating a clearing attempt by the goalie)

Option 2:
Coach dumps puck in on goalie (simulate a dump in or weak shot from point)
Goalie must stop puck (NO PADDLE DOWN) properly by placing 1 pad on the ice and stick blade on ice with glove behind it.
Goalie then stands up and passes puck to 2nd goalie
2nd goalie then passes back to coach off the boards (simulating a clearing attempt by the goalie)

Notes: This drill will focus on stoping the dump in and work on passing the puck.

Drill should be done 5-10 times per goalie then switch sides depending on time
