3 shot half wall board battle

Diagrams

Description

Part 1.
Set up drill will 3 players -
X3 is defenseman in offensive zone
X2 is defensive winger
X1 is an offensive player - extra players line up behind X1

Put some pucks in corner and some behind blue line

Coach sets up in corner.
On go - Coach passes a puck to X1 for a one timer or quick release from the slot area.
After the shot, X1 picks up a puck from the corner, and passes to X3(the defenseman).
After X1 passes, they head to the front of the net for a screen, tip, and rebound.

X2(the defensive winger) plays defense here, preventing X1 from getting to house and forcing pass to X3(the defenseman).

After X3 gets the pass, they walk the line and either shoot or pass to X4 who is the next person in line for the one timer.

Part 2.
After this shot, the coach yells new puck and rims a puck up the boards. X2 (the defensive winger) races to the boards to get the puck. X3 (the defenseman) pinches down hard to try to get the puck from X2.

If X3 (the defenseman) wins the battle, they can take the puck to the net and try to score.
X2 (the winger) tries to get the puck out, can use various techniques (see below). If they get the puck out, they can turn back into the zone and shoot on goalie.

Rotation, X1 becomes winger (X2), X2 (winger) becomes X3 (defenseman), X3(defenseman) goes to the end of the line to become X4, X4 becomes X1 and starts the next round.

Skills that the Winger can use to get out of the zone include:
1. Step off boards and skate forwards to blue line (if no pressure)
2. Step off boards and skate back towards goal line and curl to middle and skate it out
3. Step off boards and skate back towards goal line and rudder to the boards and skate it out
4. Step off boards and skate back towards goal line and rudder to the boards and glass out
5. Golf chip
6. Eat in and then bounce it off boards.
7. Others that they can think of

Can modify or progress the drill to run it as a high roll for X1 as well
